About Erebuni Fortress

Erebuni Fortress, founded in 782 BCE by King Argishti I, is one of Yerevan’s oldest landmarks and a key site for understanding the city’s origins. Set on Arin Berd hill, it offers archaeological remains, cuneiform inscriptions, and a small museum with artifacts from the Urartian period. Visitors interested in ancient history and early urban culture will find it especially rewarding, while the hilltop setting also provides wide views over modern Yerevan.
