Weta Workshop

Weta Workshop, in Wellington’s Miramar creative hub, is a world-renowned design and effects studio behind The Lord of the Rings, Avatar, and other screen productions. Visitors can take guided tours to see props, costumes, miniatures, and practical effects up close, gaining insight into model-making, sculpting, and creature design. The on-site shop features collectibles and art books. While it’s primarily a behind-the-scenes experience rather than a theme park, film enthusiasts and makers will appreciate the craftsmanship and storytelling process.
