Asa Wright Nature Centre

Tucked in the foothills of Trinidad’s Northern Range, the Asa Wright Nature Centre is a former cocoa–coffee estate turned renowned wildlife sanctuary. Visitors come for easy access to rich rainforest, excellent birdwatching from the veranda, and knowledgeable guided walks along well-maintained trails. Over 170 bird species are regularly recorded, including toucans, trogons, motmots, and the mesmerizing oilbird colony at nearby Dunston Cave (by arranged tour).
