Khast Imam Complex is Tashkent’s spiritual center, a serene ensemble of madrasas, mosques, and mausoleums rebuilt after earthquakes yet rooted in Timurid-era heritage. Its highlight is the Muyi Muborak Library, reputed to house one of the world’s oldest Qurans on parchment. Visitors come for elegant blue-domed architecture, carved wood doors, and quiet courtyards that contrast with the city’s bustle. It’s easy to reach from central Tashkent and suits an hour or two of exploration, especially with a local guide. Modest dress is appreciated; photography is generally allowed outside prayer times.
