Parc de l’Orangerie

Parc de l’Orangerie is Strasbourg’s oldest public park, a graceful 26-hectare green space opposite the European Parliament. Designed in the 18th–19th centuries, it features grand avenues, a lake with boat rentals, playgrounds, a small zoo and stork reintroduction center—symbol of Alsace. Locals picnic on expansive lawns; joggers and families favor the flat paths. The elegant Pavillon Joséphine hosts exhibitions, and seasonal flowerbeds brighten spring and summer.
