Sedona, United States
Bell Rock is a striking red sandstone butte between Sedona and the Village of Oak Creek, easily visible from Highway 179. Short, well-marked trails loop around its base, with moderate routes offering close-up views of layered rock and sweeping vistas of the Red Rock country. It’s popular for sunrise and sunset photography, casual hikes, and trail connections to Courthouse Butte. Parking can fill early; a Red Rock Pass or America the Beautiful pass is required at trailheads. While some visitors seek its reputed “vortex” energy, the tangible draw is accessible desert scenery and classic Sedona geology.
