Rügen, Germany
Seebrücke Sellin is Rügen’s most iconic pier, extending 394 meters into the Baltic Sea with a striking 1920s-style pavilion. Rebuilt after reunification, it blends seaside resort architecture with panoramic views of chalk cliffs and clear, shallow waters. Visitors come for relaxed promenades, sunrise and sunset photography, and seasonal dining in the pier house. A funicular eases access from the cliff-top resort above, and the sandy beach suits families. It’s busiest in summer; shoulder seasons offer quieter walks. Ideal if you enjoy coastal scenery, historic ambience, and a classic Baltic seaside experience.
