Plönlein

Plönlein is one of Rothenburg ob der Tauber’s most recognizable sights: a small square where a yellow half-timbered house, a fountain, and two medieval towers create a classic Franconian scene. Despite its name, which means “little square,” it is really a charming street junction within the old town. Visitors come for its well-preserved historic character, photogenic views, and easy access to nearby walls, lanes, and shops.
