Prasonisi

Prasonisi is Ródos’s southern tip, where the Aegean and Mediterranean meet and a sand isthmus appears or disappears with the seasons. In summer, steady meltemi winds make it a magnet for windsurfers and kitesurfers; in calmer conditions, it’s a striking spot for beach walks and sunsets. The lighthouse-topped islet adds a wild, remote feel. Facilities are limited—expect a few seasonal rentals and tavernas—and the exposed setting can be very windy. It’s best for active travelers, photographers, and those seeking a dramatic coastal landscape rather than a classic, sheltered beach day. Reachable by car; parking is informal.
