Porto, Portugal
São Bento Station is one of Porto’s most distinctive landmarks, valued as much for its architecture as for its role in daily transport. Opened in the early 20th century, it is best known for the grand entrance hall lined with more than 20,000 blue-and-white azulejo tiles, illustrating scenes from Portuguese history and rural life. Located near the city center, it is easy to visit while exploring nearby streets and monuments. Even if you are not taking a train, the station is worth a short stop for its historic character and remarkable interior.
