Porto, Portugal
Dom Luís I Bridge is one of Porto’s most recognizable landmarks, linking Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia across the Douro River. Completed in 1886, its iron double-deck design reflects the city’s industrial heritage and offers some of the best views in Porto. The upper level, used by pedestrians and the metro, is especially popular at sunset, while the lower deck connects the riverside areas on both banks. It is worth visiting for its architecture, panoramic scenery, and easy access to nearby wine cellars, historic streets, and waterfront promenades.
