Paul da Serra

Paul da Serra is Madeira’s largest and highest plateau, stretching across the interior above Ponta do Sol. Its open, windswept landscape contrasts with the island’s lush valleys, offering expansive views and access to notable levada and peak hikes. On clear days, you can see both the north and south coasts. The area is known for unique high-altitude flora, occasional cloud inversions, and renewable energy wind farms.
