Panama City, Panama
Spanning the Pacific entrance to the Panama Canal, the Bridge of the Americas is an iconic 1962 arch bridge linking North and South America. Visitors come for expansive views of the canal, ships queueing below, and the skyline of Panama City. The best vantage points are nearby lookouts such as Cerro Ancón, Amador Causeway, or cruise transits under the bridge. While pedestrian access on the bridge is limited and traffic heavy, the structure’s engineering significance and its role in global trade make it a worthwhile stop, especially at sunrise or sunset for photography.
