Oxford’s Bridge of Sighs, officially Hertford Bridge, is one of the city’s most photographed landmarks. Built in 1914, it links two parts of Hertford College across New College Lane and is often compared to the famous bridge in Venice for its elegant, enclosed design. While visitors cannot usually go inside, it is well worth seeing on a walk through Oxford’s historic centre, especially for its architecture, atmosphere, and excellent photo opportunities.
