Gyokusendo Cave

Gyokusendo Cave, beneath Okinawa World in Nanjo, is a 5-kilometer limestone cavern with about 890 meters open to visitors via safe walkways. Formed over 300,000 years, it features dense stalactites, clear underground pools, and subtle lighting that preserves the cave’s natural atmosphere. The constant 21°C temperature offers a cool respite from Okinawa’s heat. Access is easy from Naha by car or bus, and the visit pairs well with the adjacent cultural village and craft workshops.
