Castle Hill (Colline du Château) is Nice’s panoramic lookout, rising between the Old Town and the port. Although the medieval fortress is gone, the site offers sweeping views of the Baie des Anges, terraced gardens, and a picturesque waterfall. Accessible by stairs, elevator, or a gentle walk, it’s ideal for photography, picnics, and a break from city streets. Ruins, a Jewish cemetery, and archaeological remains add historical interest. Visit for sunrise or late afternoon light, and combine with nearby Vieux Nice exploring. Not essential for those avoiding climbs, but rewarding for vistas and open-air relaxation.
