About Mount Royal Park

Mount Royal Park is Montréal’s iconic urban green space, designed by Frederick Law Olmsted. A short climb leads to the Kondiaronk Belvedere, offering sweeping views of downtown and the St. Lawrence River. Trails for walking, running, and cycling crisscross the wooded hillside; in winter, visitors can skate, snowshoe, or cross-country ski. The park also features Beaver Lake, picnic areas, and seasonal cultural events. Easily reached from Plateau-Mont-Royal and downtown, it’s ideal for a few hours outdoors or a full day of exploration. Visit for panoramic cityscapes, accessible nature, and a snapshot of Montréal’s everyday life.
