About Narmada Park

Narmada Park (Taman Narmada) in Mataram is an 18th-century royal water palace built by the rulers of the Mataram Kingdom. Designed as a miniature of Mount Rinjani and Lake Segara Anak, it served for rituals and leisure. Today, visitors can stroll landscaped gardens, see the tiered pools and pavilions, and visit the Pura Kalasa temple. It’s a calm, compact site offering cultural insight, photogenic scenery, and a convenient stop near Mataram. Best for history and architecture enthusiasts; modest facilities and occasional crowds on weekends. Modest dress is recommended at temple areas; small entry fee applies.
