Turning Torso is Malmö’s most recognizable landmark, a twisting skyscraper designed by architect Santiago Calatrava. Rising 190 meters in the modern Western Harbour district, it is the tallest building in Scandinavia and a striking example of contemporary design. Although the tower itself is not generally open for casual visits, many travelers come to admire its unusual form, photograph it from the waterfront, and explore the surrounding area’s architecture, promenades, and views across the Öresund. It’s especially worth a stop if you enjoy modern cityscapes and architecture.
