Leuven, Belgium
St Peter’s Church, on Leuven’s Grote Markt, is one of Belgium’s finest examples of Brabantine Gothic architecture. Begun in the 15th century, it is known for its elegant interior, richly carved choir stalls, and important artworks, including Dirk Bouts’s Last Supper. The church is also listed as part of the UNESCO-recognized Belfries of Belgium and France. Visitors interested in medieval art, architecture, or Leuven’s historic centre will find it a rewarding stop, especially when paired with the nearby Town Hall.
