Panometer Leipzig is a former gasometer transformed by artist Yadegar Asisi into a venue for massive 360-degree panoramic installations. Each exhibition—ranging from ancient Rome to the Titanic or the Amazon—immerses visitors with a towering circular image, atmospheric sound, and lighting. An elevated platform offers multiple viewing levels, revealing fine details and scale. Supplementary exhibits explain the subject’s history, research, and production techniques. Located in the Connewitz district, it’s easily reached by public transport. Ideal for photography and history or art enthusiasts, it suits a one- to two-hour visit, especially during changing thematic shows. Tickets are timed on busy days.
