Praia do Camilo

Praia do Camilo is a small, photogenic cove near Lagos, known for golden cliffs, turquoise water, and natural rock arches. Accessed by a long wooden staircase, it feels sheltered and intimate, best for swimming, sunbathing, and short coastal strolls. At low tide, a tunnel connects two sandy pockets; at high tide, space is limited. Water is clear but cool; seas can be choppy. Arrive early in summer to avoid crowds and parking stress. Nearby viewpoints along the cliffs offer standout photo spots, and it pairs well with a visit to Ponta da Piedade just up the coast.
