About Gyeongju National Museum

Gyeongju National Museum is one of the best places to understand the legacy of the Silla Kingdom, which ruled much of the Korean Peninsula for nearly a millennium. Located near many of Gyeongju’s historic sites, the museum displays Buddhist sculpture, royal ornaments, ceramics, and everyday artifacts excavated from the ancient capital. Its highlight is the Emille Bell, a celebrated bronze bell from the 8th century. For travelers interested in Korean history, archaeology, or the context behind Gyeongju’s temples and tombs, this museum is a rewarding stop.
