Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea) near Krabi Town is a hilltop Buddhist site known for panoramic views over limestone karsts, jungle, and the Andaman coast. Visitors climb a steep 1,200+ step staircase to a summit shrine and large Buddha, while the lower complex features caves with tiger-paw–like rock formations and active monastic quarters. It’s best for travelers who enjoy strenuous hikes, sunrise or sunset vistas, and cultural sites beyond the beach. Modest dress is required; bring water and good footwear.
