Thung Teao Forest Natural Park, near Krabi Town, protects lowland rainforest, clear springs, and diverse wildlife. Its star attractions are the Emerald Pool (Sa Morakot), a naturally turquoise limestone pond, and the nearby Blue Pool, famed for vivid color and photo-friendly reflections. Visitors follow well-maintained boardwalks through lush forest with birdlife and rare plants. Swimming is allowed at the Emerald Pool (not at the Blue Pool), best enjoyed early to avoid crowds and midday heat. Basic facilities, marked trails, and an entrance fee apply.
