Ko Lanta, Thailand
Ko Lanta, Thailand
Mai Kaew Cave Viewpoint, set in Ko Lanta’s jungle interior, rewards a short, guided scramble through limestone caverns with wide views over forest and coastline. The route involves ladders, narrow passages, and some crawling, so it suits moderately fit visitors and closed-toe shoes. Local guides provide headlamps and explain cave formations, bats, and flora. It’s a good half-day alternative to beaches, especially in cooler morning hours. Not ideal for young children, those with mobility issues, or claustrophobia. Combine with nearby waterfalls or Old Town for a varied inland itinerary. Entrance and guide fees apply.
