Aghadoe Cathedral

Aghadoe Cathedral, just outside Killarney, is a peaceful medieval ruin set on a hillside above the lakes of Killarney. Founded on an early Christian monastic site, it features Romanesque stonework, later Gothic additions, and a remarkably scenic setting. Many visitors come as much for the history as for the panoramic views over Lough Leane and the surrounding mountains.
