Molasses Reef, off Key Largo in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, is a shallow, well-marked reef renowned for clear water, photogenic spur-and-groove coral formations, and abundant marine life. Divers and snorkelers commonly see parrotfish, angelfish, nurse sharks, and sea turtles over healthy coral heads and sandy channels. Mooring buoys protect the site and make access straightforward by local dive boats. Visibility is often excellent, currents are generally mild, and depths suit beginners to intermediate divers.
