Keelung, Taiwan
Wangyou Valley (Valley of Forgetfulness) on Keelung’s north coast is a narrow, grassy ravine opening to sea cliffs and layered rock terraces. A short, mostly gentle trail leads past wind-swept slopes to viewpoints over Badouzi Cape and the East China Sea. Visitors come for coastal geology, sea-eroded formations, and quiet scenery rather than facilities. Expect strong sun and wind, minimal shade, and uneven paths; sturdy shoes are advisable. Best combined with nearby Heping Island Park or Chaojing Park for a half-day coastal loop. Ideal for landscape photography and tranquil walks; less suited to those seeking beaches or cafes.
