Ischia, Italy
Mount Epomeo is Ischia’s highest peak, rising 789 meters above the island and offering wide views of the Bay of Naples, the coast, and the island’s volcanic landscape. Reached by a moderately challenging walk, it is a rewarding destination for visitors who enjoy hiking, scenery, and a quieter side of Ischia beyond its beaches and spas. Near the summit, you can also see a small rock-cut hermitage that reflects the island’s long history.
