Merkinch Local Nature Reserve

Merkinch Local Nature Reserve, on the shores of the Beauly Firth in Inverness, is a peaceful urban wildlife haven. Saltmarsh, reedbeds, and tidal mudflats attract waders, wildfowl, and occasional otters, while woodland paths and boardwalks offer easy, level walks.
