Wong Tai Sin Temple is one of Hong Kong’s most visited Taoist temples, known for its vibrant halls, incense-filled courtyards, and fortune-telling (kau cim). Dedicated to the deified monk Wong Tai Sin, it blends Taoist, Buddhist, and Confucian elements. Highlights include the Main Altar, Good Wish Garden, and richly adorned architecture amid urban Kowloon. Easy to reach via MTR, it’s especially busy during festivals and the Lunar New Year. Visit for cultural insight, spiritual practices, and photography; skip if you prefer quieter, less crowded sites. Modest dress and respectful behavior are recommended. Entrance is generally free, donations welcome.
