The Assembly Hall of the Fujian Chinese Congregation is one of Hội An’s most ornate historic sites, blending 17th-century Chinese architecture with vivid ceramic reliefs and a dramatic dragon gateway. Originally a meeting place for Fujian merchants, it now houses a revered temple to Thiên Hậu, goddess of the sea—reflecting the town’s maritime past. Visitors come for intricate woodwork, incense-filled altars, and a peaceful courtyard with a carp-to-dragon fountain. Centrally located in the Ancient Town, it’s an easy, worthwhile stop for architecture, history, and photography, offering insight into Hội An’s multicultural trading heritage.
