The Teleférico do Funchal is a modern cable car linking Funchal’s old town to Monte in about 15 minutes. At the summit, visitors can explore Monte’s church, tropical gardens, and the traditional wicker toboggan ride back down. Cabins run frequently, making it a convenient alternative to steep roads.
