Helicopter Island

Helicopter Island (Dilumacad) is a limestone outcrop named for its helicopter-like silhouette, a short boat ride from El Nido town. Its long, cream-colored beach fronts clear, often wavy water with good visibility for snorkeling over seagrass and occasional coral patches; sea turtles are sometimes spotted. The western cliffs and small caves add interest for photos and quick exploration. Facilities are minimal—no shops or shade structures—so bring water and sun protection. Best visited on standard El Nido island-hopping tours (usually Tour C), it suits travelers seeking a scenic beach stop rather than extensive snorkeling or secluded swimming.
