The Museum of Islamic Art, set on a purpose-built island off Doha’s Corniche, showcases 1,400 years of Islamic art from Spain to Central Asia. Designed by I. M. Pei, its geometric architecture and waterfront views are attractions in themselves. Inside, galleries display manuscripts, ceramics, metalwork, textiles, and scientific instruments, curated to illuminate craftsmanship and cross-cultural exchange. The adjacent MIA Park offers walking paths, public art, and skyline vistas. Visitors interested in design, history, or a calm cultural stop will find a well-organized collection, good facilities, and rotating exhibitions that keep the experience fresh.
