Chiang Mai, Thailand
Huay Kaew Waterfall is a small, easily accessible cascade at the base of Doi Suthep in Chiang Mai. Just minutes from the city center, it’s a convenient nature break with shady trails, pools for cooling your feet, and views of forested hills. The short hike suits most visitors, and nearby stalls sell snacks and drinks. It’s best visited in the rainy season (roughly May–October) when water flow is stronger; during dry months the falls can be modest. Ideal for a quick escape or a stop en route to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, not for those seeking a large waterfall.
