About Kalyan Minaret

Kalyan Minaret is one of Bukhara’s most recognizable landmarks and a highlight of its historic center. Built in 1127, the 47-meter brick tower is admired for its elegant proportions, detailed bands of brickwork, and long role as a symbol of the city. It stands beside the Kalyan Mosque and Mir-i-Arab Madrasa, forming an impressive architectural ensemble.
