Abdulaziz Khan Madrasah, built in 1652 in Bukhara’s historic center, is one of the city’s finest examples of late Islamic architecture. Commissioned by the Ashtarkhanid ruler Abdulaziz Khan, it is known for its richly decorated facade, intricate tilework, and lavish interior ornament, including carved stucco and painted details. Smaller and less monumental than some nearby landmarks, it rewards visitors who appreciate craftsmanship and atmosphere.
