Széchenyi Thermal Bath is Budapest’s largest and most famous spa, set in a Neo-Baroque complex in City Park. Fed by natural hot springs, its outdoor and indoor pools range from warm soaking baths to cooler lanes, with saunas, steam rooms, and optional spa treatments. Locals and visitors come year-round—winter steam over the outdoor pools is a signature scene. Facilities are modern but can get crowded; early mornings or weekdays are quieter. It’s ideal if you enjoy hydrotherapy, architectural ambiance, and a social bath culture; less essential if you prefer secluded wellness experiences.
