Budapest, Hungary
Gellért Hill rises above the Danube with some of Budapest’s best city panoramas. A moderate climb leads past the Gellért Baths, the Habsburg-era Citadella, and the Liberty Statue, which commemorates liberation in 1945. Trails and lookouts offer views of the Parliament, Buda Castle, and bridges—especially striking at sunset. The hill also features the Cave Church and green spaces for short walks. Note that paths can be steep and occasionally under restoration. Visit if you value vantage points and historical context; skip if mobility is limited or you prefer museums to outdoor viewpoints.
