Bocas del Toro, Panama
Bocas del Toro, Panama
Bluff Beach, on Isla Colón in Bocas del Toro, is a broad, golden stretch backed by jungle and palm groves. Known for powerful surf and strong currents, it’s better for sunbathing, beach walks, and wildlife spotting than swimming. From February to September, sea turtles nest here (guided viewing only). A rough road and limited services keep it uncrowded; a few eco-lodges and beach bars provide essentials. Come for dramatic scenery, sunrise runs, and a quieter alternative to Bocas Town’s bustle. Skip it if you need calm water or full facilities; choose it if you value raw Caribbean coastline and nature.
