Panjiayuan Antique Market is Beijing’s largest flea and curio bazaar, known for weekend crowds and thousands of stalls. You’ll find vintage furniture, old books, calligraphy, ceramics, ethnic crafts, jade, Cultural Revolution memorabilia, and reproductions alongside genuine finds. Prices vary widely; bargaining is expected, and early mornings offer the best selection. While serious collectors may need expertise to verify authenticity, casual browsers will enjoy the atmosphere and variety. Located in the southeast near Panjiayuan subway station, it’s most lively on Saturday and Sunday. Ideal for souvenir hunting and people-watching, less so for guaranteed museum-quality antiques.
