Bansko, Bulgaria
Velyanova House is one of Bansko’s finest examples of 18th-century residential architecture. Built for a wealthy local merchant, it is best known for its richly painted interior walls and ceilings, created by the artist Velyan Ognev. Today, the house offers a glimpse into the town’s prosperous past, with preserved rooms, decorative woodwork, and traditional furnishings. It is a worthwhile stop for visitors interested in Bulgarian history, art, and the cultural heritage of the Pirin region.
