About Baikushev's Pine

Baikushev’s Pine, near Bansko in Bulgaria’s Pirin Mountains, is one of the country’s oldest living trees, estimated to be more than 1,300 years old. Named after forester Konstantin Baikushev, who documented it in 1897, the tree stands about 26 metres tall and has a massive trunk circumference. It is an easy stop for visitors exploring Pirin National Park, offering a chance to see a remarkable natural landmark and enjoy the surrounding mountain scenery.
