Museum Mayer van den Bergh is a small but remarkable art museum in Antwerp, created from the private collection of Fritz Mayer van den Bergh. Set in an intimate neo-Gothic house, it is best known for Pieter Bruegel the Elder’s Dulle Griet (Mad Meg), one of the museum’s highlights. Visitors will also find medieval and Renaissance paintings, sculpture, manuscripts, and decorative arts. Its compact size and distinctive atmosphere make it an excellent choice for travelers interested in Flemish art and a quieter alternative to Antwerp’s larger museums.
