Perched on Monte Cardeto above Ancona’s harbor, the Lighthouse of Ancona (Faro di Ancona) offers sweeping views of the Adriatic, the port, and the city’s amphitheater of hills. The current tower dates to the 1970s, replacing a 19th‑century lighthouse whose ruins remain nearby, adding historical interest. Accessible via park trails in Parco del Cardeto, it’s a peaceful spot for sunset photos and sea breezes rather than an interior tour (the light is not open to visitors).
